Abbie Rondeau, O.D.

Abbie Rondeau, O.D.

Originally from Olathe, Kansas, Dr. Abbie Rondeau obtained her Bachelor's degree from Kansas State University (EMAW!) in 2004. She completed her Doctorate of Optometry at the renowned Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois, in 2008. Illinois College of Optometry is known for providing an outstanding clinical experience.

The clinic is devoted to serving patients with systemic health conditions that affect the health of the eye (diabetes, hypertension, autoimmune diseases, etc.) as well as treating a large population of patients with glaucoma.

In 2009, Dr. Rondeau joined the Bennett EyeCare team. Dr. Rondeau feels fortunate to see patients of every age. The needs of a 5 year-old and an 85 year-old patient can be very different but it is that challenge that she finds fun and keeps her on her toes! In addition to routine eye care and ocular disease management, Dr. Rondeau finds her focus in treating dry eye and improving her patients' comfort and quality of vision in glasses and contact lenses.

Taking time to get involved in the community is important to Dr. Rondeau. She is the sitting Board President and a volunteer doctor for the Kansas City Free Eye Clinic. The KC Free Eye Clinic serves patients from area homeless and women's shelters. She also served as an officer and the president of the Optometric Society of Greater Kansas City for 3 years.

Dr. Rondeau and her husband love to spend their weekends chasing their two young children and two big dogs around the park. If you talk to Dr. Rondeau for even a couple of minutes you will understand how passionate she is about being a small business owner and how being a doctor in a private practice allows her to put family first.
